Concrete time for 5 & 9

Now it was time to fill the frame for pad 5 & 9 with concrete. We ordered one pallet of concrete from Home Depot, which holds 42, 80-pound bags. We used wheel barrels to carry the bags, water and tools to the pads. We added a weed barrier over the sand in the frame. Then we added chicken wire as a form of rebar over the weed barrier. We mixed the concrete in the wheel barrels to a consistency of a thick soup. After that we poured the concrete into the frame, starting from one end of the farm and working our way to the other end. We started the concrete smoothing process by scraping off the excess with a 2 x 4. The finished with a trowel. When the concrete was almost dry, we added texture with a brush of a broom. This will give the disc golfers shoe grip as they threw. When we were finished, we used 30 bags of Quik Crete to fill the frame. And with that hole 5 & 9 was complete.
